10 Days, 10 Albums, No Order, Excessive Explanation Day 9: Pearl Jam "Ten."

I think this was the first album I ever bought, 7th grade or thereabouts. At the time, I remember everyone believing that the real-life events which inspired "Jeremy" happened in our area (ie., San Diego), which I recall is generally true. It certainly added no small amount of mystique to think that Eddie Vedder was from Encinitas. (Side note: he isn't, though he lived in the area and went to the same high school as my older sister, some years prior).

I was hooked into MTV at the time, and the video for "Jeremy" and the live footage music video for "Evenflow" were in constant rotation. This album would be part of my personal soundtrack throughout middle school and high school.
