STORY OF YOUR DREAMS (2016)

I was at a Ben Folds concert on South Street in Philly, reveling in the storytelling skill of his music, when a line popped into my head: “You are the book…” I took that snippet of melody and fleshed out the lyrics by following the thought to its conclusion. Although quite different in style, “Story” continued the message that began with “Bless This Year” and runs through much of my music, that we can choose how we engage with the world.
