Day 12 of the Increasingly Misnamed 10 Day Album Cover Series: Peter Gabriel "Shaking the Tree"

The last time my brother Andy and I were in the same room (which I think was maybe December but feels like the late Cretaceous Period), we noted that Peter Gabriel had an outsize impact on us given the relatively small number of solo albums he released in our respective lifetimes. If I were to name my favorite artists, I don't know it would occur to me to include Peter Gabriel, but how to account for the fact that I can sing so many of his songs, by heart, off the top of my head?!

Songs like "Big Time" and "Sledgehammer" have been in my ear since I was a little kid, but then also hits like "In Your Eyes," "Steam," "Solsbury Hill," and "Digging in the Dirt." But why do I also know "Kiss That Frog," "I Have the Touch," "Red Rain," "Biko," and "Games Without Frontiers"? And I know almost all the words to all of them.

So I have "Shaking the Tree" here, just because it's as good a stand-in as any.
